Forclosures in the OC near 1300

Look before you leap, flipping can be a risky business as we've talked about in the past. With 1,294 foreclosures in the OC alone, people have jumped into a bad market. Can this be turned into an opportunity for flipping? Sure, looking for people who need an out and making them an offer can result in a deep discount for anything faced with default. A little bit of research, networking, and legwork may give you the leg up in a market which seems to be taking a dive (at least in California).

Just remember to look before you leap, do your homework, and make sure any risk is mitigated in some form or another. Don't risk money you can't afford to loose, and don't pass up an opportunity to flip the state of the market and tip it in your favor.

Flipping Willie Horton

In politics, flipping is everything. No, not flipping as in changing sides, but flipping information or ideas, profiting not from their sale, but their acceptance. Willie Horton is again in the news, why? Well, put simply, the holiday political season has begun, and it ain't snow thats raining down. In 1988, Willie Horton was used to dessimate the Michael Dukakis campaign , you can't easily buy that sort of ammunition. What matters is not necessarily the facts, but how you flip the story and sell it to the viewers.

Appalachian State Football and Real Estate?

So what does Appalachian State have to do with Real Estate? Well, I was researching real estate in NC and got sidetracked with the news that Appalachian State beat Michigan 34-32. Talk about short attention span. Needless to say, in my Google searching, I came across Michael Bradford's Real Estate Blog . Funny how when looking for one thing you often find something completely different. Michael has some really good advice for those looking to flip, and has some examples of his recent flipping.

Don't just flip and run, reflection is the key to balance

"Reflection balances experience, it allows us to process our sensory data and file it away and make sense of the world." In Mind Like Water: Keeping Your Balance in a Chaotic World , Jim Ballard talks about meditation, reflection, and thinking in a mind like water state. I bought this some time ago and have been reading it slowly. It's definately a find at your local library, or used via ebay or Amazon .
